Gabbie Shenker

Gabriella Shenker is a teacher of classical ballet, jazz and tap, with professional training in England and around 30 years of teaching experience in England and Israel.

Gabriella grew up in Manchester, England, surrounded by the world of dance. Her mother owned a dance school, where Gabriella was involved from a young age in teaching, working with students and creating choreography. She trained in classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and in tap and jazz through the ISTD – Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She later graduated from the Dance Teachers and Performers course at Preston College, England, and gained teaching qualifications through the ISTD.

Over the years, Gabriella has gained extensive experience teaching classical ballet to children, teenagers and adults, as well as preparing students for examinations and performances. Alongside teaching, she has worked in teacher training, curriculum development and technique development, and founded and managed her own classical ballet school.

Gabriella brings to her teaching a combination of extensive professional knowledge and a strong ability to analyse classical technique and communicate it to students in a clear, engaging and accessible way. Alongside technical precision, she places great emphasis on musicality, stage presence and artistic understanding of movement.

Gabriella also has a great passion for choreography and creation. Throughout her career, she has choreographed musicals, dance productions and full-length ballets.
